16 Days Tanzania wildlife and Beach Holiday

Day 1, Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, you will be welcomed and greeted by our company representative and ground handler in Tanzania and then be transferred to your assigned place of accommodation for your dinner and overnight stay at Oasis Lodge/Impala Hotel/Kibo Palace/KIA Lodge

Day 2, Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Hotel in Arusha and be transferred to Tarangire National Park.  You will reach in time for lunch. After which you will go for the afternoon game drive in the country’s 3rd largest National Park. Tarangire is well known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them.  Look out for animals like Herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and elands. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge

Day 3, Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation area
After a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge, you will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and in the afternoon, go for the cultural experience in the Mto wa Mbu - Masai Village. Here you will meet with the Masai people who will perfume some of their cultural dances and also sing for you cultural songs. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge/Gibbs Farm Lodge/Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Day 4, Visit Lake Eyasi
After breakfast early in the morning, you will transfer to Lake Eyasi. You will drive across the Rift valley and the escarpments. You are advised to go with your packed lunch boxes. Upon arriving, you will join a pre dawn cultural walk with the Bushmen hunters. You will be allocated a local guide who will be there to interpret for you everything other Bushmen say about the hunting techniques used. Spend the rest of the day with thm as you study their day to day daily life. In the evening, return back to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge/Gibbs Farm Lodge/Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5, Full day Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will descend into the crater for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. The crater is said to have the most-dense concentration of wildlife in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 sq km with sides up to 600m deep. The crater floor consists of a number of ecological environments that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Magadi, a central soda lake filled by the Munge River. Day 6, Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will be transferred to Serengeti National Park. En route, you will stop over at the Oldvai Gorge. This is the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus, Homo habilis and Homo erectus, bringing crucial understanding of the study of the evolution of the human species. Have lunch from here and later proceed to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, you will go for the evening game drive to search for different wildlife animals. Transfer to your assigned place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at IKoma Tented Camp/Lobo Wildlife Lodge/ Serengeti Simba Lodge/Serengeti Sopa Lodge/Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 7, full day in Serengeti
Early morning after breakfast, you will set out for the morning and afternoon game viewing in the park. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. The park is most famous because of the Wildebeest migration and about 200,000 zebras. These animals tend to flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then move west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at IKoma Tented Camp/Ol Moran Camps/Serengeti Sopa Lodge/Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 8, Transfer to Lake Victoria
After breakfast, you will go for the last game driveenroute as you exdit the park to transfer to Lake Victoria. You will arrive in the afternoon after which you will relax on one of the beaches before you go for dinner and overnight stay at Dinner at the Speke Bay Lodge

Day 9, Full day on Lake Victoria
Have breakfast and then spend the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Victoria. Go for a short boat ride and visit the local fishing villages in different areas. Return back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner at the Speke Bay Lodge

Day 10, Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park where upon arrival, you will have lunch and later either take a balloon safari or a guided nature walk in the Park. Dinner and overnight stay at IKoma Tented Camp/Ol Moran Camps/Serengeti Sopa Lodge/Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 11, Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After a morning breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and later transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for the evening game drive. The park is most famous for its tree-climbing lion that can be spotted draped over branches of acacia trees. The Buffaloes and Hippos also share the lake with over 350 species of birds found there. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 12, Full day in Lake Manyara National Park
Have an early morning breakfast and then set out for the full day enjoyment in Lake Manyara National Park. This is one of the most scenic parks in Tanzania and is well known for its rare tree climbing lions and it is located on the base of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Besides the tree climbing lions, there are also other animals found here such as zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and warthog. Lake Manyara is also a bird watcher’s paradise because there are numerous water birds in the area, including pelicans that waddle around next to short grasses on the shore of the lake. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 13, Transfer to Zanzibar via Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha to catch your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arriving in Zanzibar, you will be picked and transferred to Dhow Palace Hotel/Tembo House/Temarand Beach Hotel/Ocean Paradise for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14, Stonetown and Jozani Forest Tour
After breakfast at the Hotel, you will visit the Stonetown and learn about this pre historic settlement merging old age civilization with not so modern civilization. Later in the day, you will also visit the Jozani forest where you will see the coastal evergreen bush land, mangrove forest, saline grassland and ground water forest and so on. Return back to Dhow Palace Hotel/Tembo House/Temarand Beach Hotel/Ocean Paradise for dinner and overnight stay

Day 15, Spice Tour and Prison Island Tour
After breakfast, you will go for the Spice Tour. We are all very much aware that Zanzibar is also known as "The Island of Spices,” whose name evokes a romantic past, embalmed in the aroma of cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and lemon grass. This tour starts with a drive through a profusion of greenery in the countryside seeing, smelling and tasting a variety of mouth-watering tropical seasonal fruits, some examples are: jack fruit, pineapple, banana, green coconut (madafu), dourian, love apple (matufaa), litche (shoki-shoki), soursop (mabungo) and star fruit (carambola). The main spices here are: cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric and nutmeg and others like iodine plant, heena bush, ylang-ylang, the lipstick tree, cocoa and coffee trees. Have lunch and later visit the Prison Island also known as the Changuu Island. This is the middle island of the three Islands visible from the Stone Town and it takes about 30 minutes to get there by boat. The Prison on the Island was built in 1893 and later was used as a Hospital and it has a frangipani lined path where the former patients took their evening walks. Day 16, Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport to catch your home bound flight
