22 Days Kenya and Tanzania Grand Tour

Day 1, Arrive in Nairobi
On your arrival at Kenyatta International Airport, you are met by our tour representative who will transfer you to Stanley Hotel/ Silver Springs Hotel for diner and overnight stay.

Day 2, Transfer to Nanyuki
After breakfast, you will depart from Nairobi to Nanyuki via the Great North Road and the famous Kenyan Highlands to Nanyuki where you will arrive in time for Lunch at Sweet waters tented camp. After lunch continue with the afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and Overnight at the Sweet waters tented camp.

Day 3, Transfer to Samburu National Park
After breakfast, you will leave the camp with a game drive en route and transfer to Samburu game reserve where you will arrive in time for Lunch.  Upon arrival, have lunch and in the afternoon, go for the game drive in this rugged, semi-arid part of the North Eastern province. Dinner and Overnight at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge

Day 4 and 5, Full day Game drives in Samburu
You will spend these 2 days participating in both morning and afternoon game drives. You will expect to see animals such as the long necked gerenuk, grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Leopard and the beisa Oryx. The park also habits a lot of bird species and so you will also be able to spot different species of birds as you enjoy the game drives. Spend more 2 nights at Samburu Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 6, Transfer to Mountain Kenya National Park
After breakfast, you will depart to Mt Kenya National Park where you will arrive in time for Lunch at the Serena Mountain Lodge. This is located at 2,194 meters on the slopes of Mt Kenya and is surrounded by dense rainforest that comes alive at dusk with myriad of sounds that make the African bush so special and exhilarating.  Animals that can be viewed while at the Lodge include: Elephants, buffalo, rhino and waterbucks. Dinner and Overnight at the Serena Mountain Lodge

Day 7, Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National park with a game drive en route. Nakuru is often referred to as the Pink Lake because of its great masses of pink flamingos. The park also provides views of other animals such as water buck, leopards, impala, Buffalo and the Rhinos since it is currently a rhino sanctuary. The Game drive after lunch will reward you with views of the above mentioned animals. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge/Flamingo Hill camp

Day 8, Full day in Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you will set out for a full day exploration at Nakuru National Park. You will participate in both morning and evening game drives to search for different animal species. The lake was first gazzetted as a bird sanctuary in 1960 and upgraded to national park status in 1968. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge/Flamingo Hill camp

Day 9, Transfer to Masai Mara Game reserve
After breakfast, you will depart from Lake Nakuru National Park and transfer to Masai Mara through the Great East African Rift valley via Narok town. You will arrive in time for lunch after which you will go for the afternoon game drive till evening. Search out for the abundance of wildlife that inhabit the park such as lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, antelopes and Elephants. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge/Ol-Moran Tented Camp (FB)

Day 10 &11, Full days in Masai Mara
After breakfast, set out for the morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara for these 2 days. You are advised to go with your packed lunch on each day since you will have it as a picnic while in the park. Look out for animals like Leopard, lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo and many species of antelope. Retire to your place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Mara Serena Lodge/Ol-Moran Tented Camp (FB)

Day 12, Transfer to Lake Victoria in Tanzania
After breakfast, you will cross the border between Kenya and Tanzania at Isabenia and drive to the shores of Lake Victoria with a picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will check into the Speke Bay Lodge and spend the rest of the day resting. Dinner at the Speke Bay Lodge

Day 13, Full day on Lake Victoria
Have breakfast and then spend the rest of the day on the shores of Lake Victoria. Go for a short boat ride and visit the local fishing villages in different areas. Return back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner at the Speke Bay Lodge

Day 14, Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park where upon arrival, you will have lunch and later either take a balloon safari or a guided nature walk in the Park. Dinner and overnight stay at IKoma Tented Camp/Ol Moran Camps/Serengeti Sopa Lodge/Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 15 & 16, full days in Serengeti
Early morning after breakfast, you will set out for the morning and afternoon game viewing in the park. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. The park is most famous because of the Wildebeest migration and about 200,000 zebras. These animals tend to flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then move west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at IKoma Tented Camp/Ol Moran Camps/Serengeti Sopa Lodge/Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 17, Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservancy Area
After breakfast, you will depart with your picnic lunch to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route you will have a game drive in the short grass plains of Serengeti National Park where masses of the wildebeest herds are numerous. Later transfer to Ngorongoro where upon arrival, you will transfer to your preferred place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge/Gibbs Farm Lodge/Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Day 18, Full day Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will descend into the crater for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. The crater is said to have the most-dense concentration of wildlife in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 sq km with sides up to 600m deep. The crater floor consists of a number of ecological environments that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Magadi, a central soda lake filled by the Munge River. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge/Gibbs Farm Lodge/ Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Day 19, Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After a morning breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and later transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for the evening game drive. The park is most famous for its tree-climbing lion that can be spotted draped over branches of acacia trees. The Buffaloes and Hippos also share the lake with over 350 species of birds found there. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 20, Full day in Lake Manyara National Park
Have an early morning breakfast and then set out for the full day enjoyment in Lake Manyara National Park. This is one of the most scenic parks in Tanzania and is well known for its rare tree climbing lions and it is located on the base of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Besides the tree climbing lions, there are also other animals found here such as zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and warthog. Lake Manyara is also a bird watcher’s paradise because there are numerous water birds in the area, including pelicans that waddle around next to short grasses on the shore of the lake. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or Migunga Tented Camp.

Day 21, Transfer back to Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha reaching in time for Lunch. You will be dropped at your Hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Oasis Lodge/Impala Hotel/Kibo Palace/KIA Lodge

Day 22, Departure
After breakfast, you will go for a short city tour later be transferred to the Airport to catch your international flight back home.
